SUCCESS STORIES FOR ASHA

Jarrifan Anthony Niranjan.J CP-141

I am Jarrifan Anthony Niranjan. J S/o John Bosco. In this world everyone have their own life story but in that many stories we can find only few of them getting success in life. So as the ASHA has selected my story as a successful one. I would like to say something about my past life.

When I was studying 1st to 3rd standard it was very easy for my parents to pay the school fees. After which my mother got sick and my family was in poor condition and there were no chance for me to continue my studies because whatever my father earned from his collie was spent for my mother’s health care. For this reason I decided not to continue my studies any further. Yes it was ASHA Children’s Sponsorship Programme which took care of me as a mother takes care of her child. So when this ASHA Trust came to my rescue really I felt that it was God who came to my rescue. Then I had a thought that I was blessed by God and I am the luckiest person in the world. In 4th standard ASHA came to my rescue by lending their arms to me in the field of studies. So for me, it was like fish which was taken out of the water was let into the water again. In the photo you might have seen my childhood photoes of sitting and writing, yes it was the time when the ASHA chose me as one of the Sponsored Child.

Then of course it was easy for me to continue my studies. I finished 7th standard in my village and then I continued my high school in Bangalore with the help of ASHA Charitable Trust. My father told me that it is not easy for me to pay the school fees. So you better study in village itself. But my desire was to study in English medium. Since I was in the ASHA Sponsorship, it helped me to join in the boarding and study in English school. In 8th standard there was no money left with my father to buy text books. So the money which came from ASHA helped me to purchase books for my studies. Since I studied in the Christian institution and being under the care of priest made me to select my life as a priest. So after finishing my 10th standard I joined seminary in Bangalore to become a priest.
In my seminary life I had gone through much experience. Here father’s from Kerala found out my talent in music and taught me to play Key Board. Since I had more interest in music it was very easy for me to learn Key Board. They appointed me as a head of the music team and I fulfilled it very successfully. Then I finished one year in Karnataka and I went to continue my seminary life in Kerala. My life in Kerala was very difficult because I was not familiar with the language, culture and especially food. It means they were giving me more but the taste of the food was different. So it took me some months to get adjusted. In Kerala I learned many things about how to conduct the programme and how to control the people. They gave me the office of cultural event. So since I was the in-charge of culture I took part in many events, programmes and composed songs about our seminary. During my seminary life there were many events which gave me an opportunity to take part and apart from this I completed my 2nd PUC with 79% of marks in Kerala by spending the money which was given by ASHA.

As part of my seminary studies I am continuing my degree and now I am in 1st Year Bcom. The fees which should be paid by me for one year is Rs. 43,000/- and since we requested they have given the option to pay in instalment. During this time the money which I received from ASHA Children’s Sponsorship Programme was very much useful to pay my fees and do my studies. I wholeheartedly thank my sponsor and the ASHA Team for giving me bright future. I am satisfied with your money which is the back bone for me. I thank my donars and the ASHA Charitable Trust which has been instrument in passing on the generosity of the Donars to me. I will remember all those who have been instrumental in being a bridge between me and my Donar. I will pray for all of you so that the Lord Almighty God may shower his choicest blessings upon my Donar, Donars family and friends, Caritas Prague and the ASHA Charitable Trust. Thank you once again thank you so much.

Thanking you
