I am Velanganni Priya L D/O Josephine Mary. Every person will have their own past life. Even I have my past life story. In my family there are 5 members my grandfather, father, mother, brother and myself. In our family nobody studied till graduation. But I studied with the help of ASHA Sponsorship program through the financial support of Caritas Prague. Asha sponsorship program is the back bone for my studies. They have been helping for my education. Because of them I completed Civil Engineering.

My family was a poor family; we lived in a small house for a rent and in that house with no proper facilities. My father is a daily wager and my mother is a private nursery teacher. My parents struggled a lot for my education. Because they have to look after my grandfather, brother and me with the less amount of salary they are not capable to fulfill our wishes but they tried a lot.

I studied in a government school from 1st standard to 4th standard. When I was in 4th STD by the grace of God I was selected me ASHA Sponsorship Program through the financial and moral support to Caritas Prague. Through their help I continued my education I joined in English medium school in Kanakapura St.Thomas School. I also started to study well and I began to come first for class. During my school days I have participated in drawing, craft, rangoli, essay writing and story writing competitions.
Every year in summer and dasara holiday they conduct camp and for us they give guidelines and many gifts for me.

After my 10th standard I was in confusion which to choose whether commerce or science. One of our church priests suggested me to choose science. For science there is a good opportunity you can become doctor or engineering they guided me. Even in Asha camp they guided about future education.

I joined P.U St.Thomas College in Kanakapura and selected science combination. In 2nd P.U I took 60% and passed in first class and I wrote a CET exam for my higher education. In CET exam I scored very well marks from government they allotted seat for engineering. My education fees become much more amount then in difficult situation financially asha sponsors program was supported me and I continued my higher studies. My parents also supported me to become an Engineer.

In every semester I got good marks and from 5th semester I got first class with distinction and I completed civil engineering with good marks because of ASHA children’s sponsorship though the financial support of Caritas Prague. I am very thankful to my Donor. When I did not had sufficient money to buy the books my friends helped me to share the books.

Since I have completed my graduation, my next step is to search a job. I am attending interviews; I hope, I will get a good job with good salary, with some amount of my salary, I decided to help the poor children for their education as I was helped with kind hearted people like my donor.

ASHA Charitable Trust has always taught me to be grateful to the donors (Caritas Prague), who have been helping us though, ASHA Charitable Trust. During each camp and programs conducted by ASHA Charitable Trust, we were explained about the generosity of the Donors. I will remain ever grateful to my donors and my donor name is Salvicka Eva, I will pray for them throughout my life time. I will make my donors proud. May God bless my donors. I am very thankful to them and I am very thankful to ASHA Charitable Trust because of them only I am a Civil Engineer today. Now I am working in a private company and earning Rs. 25.000/- per month I remember them in my daily prayers.
