SUCCESS STORIES FOR ASHA

I am Lawrence A , BM-332 Studying Engineering in 4th year. I will complete my Engineering studies in 6 month. Wow, what wonderful days which I spent in this Child Sponsorship Program, I can never forget those days in my life. I was into this project from Shimoga Multipurpose Social Service Society in the year 1994. My father was toiling as a daily wager for a meager income. During those days the importance towards education was very less in remote places of India and my parents were also uneducated so they were not interested in my education, on the other hand poverty was the main cause, because of which they were not able to meet my education needs. I was studying in 4th standard and it was that time, when I got enrolled into this Child Sponsorships Program and could aim to become Engineering and my parents were also encouraged and motivated through this program. Later when my father shifted to Bangalore due to lack of job opportunities in Shimoga, I also shifted to Bangalore Project called ASHA CHILDREN'S SPONSORSHIPS PROGRAMME in the year 2004, were I got a lot of encouragement and courage to proceed with my career through the ASHA coordinators. Now my ambition is fulfilled, in 6 months time I am going to complete my engineering from Dr.T.Thimmaiah Institute of Technology, Visveswaraiah University and I'll be called an Engineer. Oh' God, What a wonderful day it will be. I shall never forget the child Sponsorships Programme, which has helped me in the every step of my life and my sponsors Uncle Blazej and Aunt Jana, who have helped me to reach my goal. My parents are also happy and they are proud that I am an Engineer. Now I have a bright future. I am enclosing my photo of the time when I became a part of this project.

Greetings from your dear child Sudha BM-280 I and my family members are just doing fine here by the Grace of God Almighty. Hope this letter finds you and your family members in good health and happiness. I especially pray for the same in my daily prayers. I would like to inform you through this letter that I finished my 10th grade and willing to continue education, so I joined I PUC with good interest. But due to my Parents force I had to stop my education because my parents arranged for the wedding and got me married on August 6th 2008. I have stepped into my new family life, please pray for me. As soon as I saw your letter my eyes were filled with tears, because It reminded of those days when I was a free bird. I was not doing any work at home, wake up early morning, study, eat and go to school, that was my major job in the daily timetable. Now I have a few added responsibilities in my husband’s house, like cooking, cleaning the house, washing vessels, clothes etc. I have never had any bad experience with my mother-in-law till date, because here, according to our tradition the daughter in law of the house has to do all the work. I don’t know whether I will be able to do all the work but still I pray to God that I should not hurt anybody with my behavior. I would like to tell you many more things when you come to India. With your kind help I was able to complete my 10th standard and become an educated wife to my husband and a respectable person in this society. I am proud about it; first of all I must thank you for this greatest help and concern you have extended towards me and my studies. I shall never forget your help in my lifetime. I received your letter and understood that you are coming to India to meet me in the month of January 2009. I am eagerly waiting to see you. I want to introduce my husband and say that you were sponsoring my education and I would like to wish and extend my wholehearted thanks for all your favors. If my husband permits I would like to continue education in future. With thousand sweet Kisses and wholehearted thanks I wind up this letter. Awaiting your presence here in India

Arun Madlae Muthu CP-275 I am Arun Madale Muthu.C S/O Chowrappa. Every person will have his/her own past life, even I have my past life story. In my family there are six members my father, mother, sister, brother and myself. We are four children in our family but nobody studied till graduation. But I studied with the help of ASHA Sponsorship Program. ASHA Sponsorship Program is the back bone for my studies. They have been helping me for my studies. In my family we have very poor condition in my small age because we were living in the mud house and we did not have proper basic facilities at that time.

My parents struggled a lot for my studies. My parents had a thought that I have to become a priest and even I had an aim to become a priest. From 1st standard to 3rd standard I studied in my village only then I went to Bangalore to study, but there also my parish priest told me to study in Kannada medium because English was difficult for me at that time. But I had interest to study in English medium. Till 10th standard I studied in Kannada Medium School. More+

Pavan Anthony . J HK 98 : A Light into the Midst of Darkness! Hi, I am Pavan Anthony .J and I am hereby happy to express my gratitude to my sponsor, ASHA Charitable Trust and Caritas Hradec Kralove. My success itself is the gratitude to them. I am a son of a poor farmer. My life was in the midst of troubles and difficulties. I was like a frog in the well. I was finding difficult in figuring out the world through studies. There came the "Asha Trust and Caritas Hradec Kralove" who lifted me and provided a great support in my life. I finished my 4thstandard in my native village called Harobele and shifted to Tiptur for my Primary School.

My parents were poor. Slowly my family found it difficulty in supporting my studies as my brother and sister too join the school. I thought that my study life would end because my parents were not affording to pay even half of my fees. So mentally I was prepared to discontinue my studies. At that time my life was on a two boats waiting for my parents to take decision of my life. The in charge of my boarding was about to send me to my village like a punched ball thrown to dustbin. I was called to meet her and I expressed my sufferings to them, she was deeply touched and asked me go to chapel and pray to God to help me out through this sufferings. More+
